Volunteer In India: Patiala school, Day 2

Math class.
After school...everyone changes into street clothes. And then come outside to hang out and play.

I love this.

This was in an art type of class...the beginning stages of a creation. Obviously it involved measuring and lines...they were conferring with each other on the right way to do it.
Music class...both student and teacher are blind.

There is only one computer, so everyone gathers around. Then someone accidentally unplugged it or something...it turned off unexpectedly. They all groaned.
A satisfied student in his Punjab class. English is taught here as the primary language...so Punjabi is actually their second language. Sign language is in...English...all around the world, I am told.

Alan is teaching the students how to use a compass.

Everyone was asked to find things on the map of India...Patiala, Delhi, Kerala, etc.
Again with the compass. Even the teacher is looking on and learning.
North, south, east, west.

Morning assembly. Prayers and singing.

The school, with construction material on the ground for the new addition.

I feel like mentioning that they have two computers, making for a manageable 15:1 ratio.
